Refund Policy
BenchRecon produces research exhibits from public records — officer complaint and certification-discipline data, court-published standard jury instructions, and U.S. Sentencing Commission data. Our policy is designed to be practical for attorneys with pending case deadlines.
This guarantee covers data accuracy. It does not cover case outcomes — if the underlying public record does not support your argument, that is an outcome of the record itself, not an error in the brief.
Correction Guarantee
If a report you received contains a data error — a row that does not match its cited public-record source, a misattributed officer, an incorrect instruction or amendment citation, or, for sentencing briefs, an incorrect offense level, criminal history category, district, or JSIN exclusion count — reply to your order confirmation email within 7 calendar days of delivery and describe the discrepancy. We will either correct and redeliver the report or issue a full refund at your election.
"Correct" means the output accurately reflects the public record it cites — the officer-conduct dataset, the court-published instruction text, or the USSC public datafile for the specified cell. It does not mean the record produces a favorable result for your client.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available in two circumstances:
- Data error: The report contains a verifiable error against the public record it cites and you request correction or refund within 7 days of delivery.
- Non-delivery: You completed checkout and were charged but did not receive the report within the delivery window stated for your product. Most products deliver within minutes to 24 hours; review-held products (for example the Litigation Watch Digest, confirmed after source-scope review) state their own window on the product page.
No Refunds For
We do not issue refunds based on the content of the record — for example, because an officer's history is thinner than hoped, a sentencing distribution is unfavorable, a cell has a small N, or the JSIN exclusion count is lower than expected. The report shows what the public record holds. If the record does not help your case, that is an outcome of the record itself, not an error in our output.
Many products carry a broader no-questions-asked refund within 7 days, stated on the product page. Where a product page promises a no-questions-asked refund, that promise governs for that product. Apart from such promises, we do not issue refunds for change-of-mind after delivery of an accurate report.
How to Request
Reply directly to your order confirmation email. Include your order number, the specific error or delivery problem, and what you need — correction or refund. We respond within one business day and resolve within three.
If you cannot locate your order confirmation email, write to support@benchrecon.com with your name and the email address used at checkout.
Stripe Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback before contacting us, we will provide Stripe with delivery confirmation and the brief itself. We prefer to resolve disputes directly — disputes that could be resolved by email cost both parties time. Contact us first.
